hi new member here,air bag light just come on was just wondering if there are any checks i could do.

 

If you had anyone in the rear seat recently it could have tripped the air bag light. Try moving around the front seats and make sure all the seat belts are fully retracted.
Other than that you need a VAG COM www.ross-tech.com to check the fault codes in the air bag control module.

 

thanks for the info got car booked in for check on friday,will update when got results

 

results of tests for the air bag are that the igniter for steering wheel was the fault.had system reset and all ok.

 

Out of curiosity, what was the charge to check/reset the light?

 

i was charged 5GBPand it only took 2mins

 

That's cheap. We just paid 35.00 USD to have the bmw's reset after forgetting to reconnect the airbag connector before hooking the battery up. Took them all of 10 secs. I am assuming that 5 GBP = 7 USD.
