where to start? Fuse is OK .... No VAG... any other ideas fellas? I was thinking of giving up on the car all together with 255,000+ on it but i am slowly leaning away from dooing that. Here's there laundry list of known issues. ECT sensor and/or thermostat, Converters (I'm thinking just cut them right out?) the afore-mentioned airbag issue and a new wheel bearing. As i said she's pushing 256,000 miles. Thoughts? ideas? Starting points?

 

With that kind of mileage I would assume the car is paid for.
Price out a new(er) car and figure out what the payments will be, and don't forget the sales tax!!! Make a purchase decision based on your own finances. Maybe you can keep the "ole" Audi as a spare car.
Also investing in a VAG-COM (cheap on eBay) would be a good idea so at least you can get the codes for the airbag light.

 

Only 255K? --Lots of life left Don't give up til 350K or so. I agree - get a VAG so you can tell what is wrong...
