For the past couple of days the air bag light stays on for about a minute or two before finally going off.
It remains on after all the other dash indicator lights go off. No blinking at all just steady on then it goes off.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this a job for the VAG-COM?
If it is a serious problem does Audi still fix for free?

Mine is a 96 wagon with the 2.8 12v v6.

I have the same problem in my 01'.... It seems to be manipulted by cold weather... the light will stay on until the cabin of the car warms up... The problem never presents itself in the summer months when it is warm...

 

that's ok not a problem as long as it goes off its ok
