Fallout - thanks for the comparison but I am really on;y interested in the 4.2's. I am not a big fan of Turbos. When they work they're great but when there's problems you lose all your performance and it usually costs a lot more to repair.

Ok, Had the car a couple of days and I love it. Runs great, is very clean, & power to spare. I picked up a set of Dunlop winter sport M3's with it as well. Putting those on for the rest of the winter. Am also thinking of leaving them on the factory rims and upgrading my summer tires and rims. Any suggestions on the rims and sizes?

Throwing in a couple more pics as well. This is a good looking car!

I own the exact same car with lux and sprt pkg. Have 66K on mine. Those factory rims are actually Very nice (retail 500 each) but heavy, as I remember. I upgraded to 18" split 5 spokes and like the look. See the Pic of Rims posts from a month ago to get some ideas. Maintain that car and it will be one of the best purchases you have made.

Ditto...same ride with all the packages and glitz. No worries on the motor lasting you a long time..BUT...I posted on this earlier but no one repsonded ...hehe. My 4.2 was owned by an older couple and meticulously maintanined. I have all the records. The car has 71k. Well, I just had the intake replaced due to a fluttering rail (plastic) inside the intake. Very intersting to see how it works when the dealer showed me the part. Anyways, they replaced it under warranty and it is unknown why it failed. Then, when they fired it up it immediately threwa CEL and it was diagnosed as a bad cam seal adjuster. SUPER NEAT! I almost puked. I told them to keep it for a few days and drive it too make sure there was nothing else. Other than this, the car is awesome. Everyone else I have talked to says great things. Out of all the AUDI motors this is reputed to last the longest. Maybe I just have bad luck....

I have to be careful around here. I keep looking at all of your cars and your posts and I want to start adding " mods" right away. I haven't even owned it for a week yet. I do like the idea of the RS6 exhaust though. Boston Driver had a clip with sound of his cars exhaust. Sounds really sweet.

I have to think about the new rims though. I like the idea of going to 18's but the 17'summer tires on the car when I bought it are still in great shape.

took the advice and grabbed it. what a sweet car. this is my first performance sedan, past cars were small sports cars and an SUV. this a6 drives like a dream. but there is 1 tiny paint chip on the front passenger door, guess i'll suffer . but the dealership gave me some touchup paint so it should be ok. now my wife is jellous, want's that bmw330i...
