Im not sure what you mean by low pros for the stock wheels. On my 16" BBS's, I have Bridgestone Potenza G009s, they are pretty quiet, and have good grip, but once I sell these wheels and get my new 18s, I will probably get Contis on them.

why bother... you should go up an inch or two on rim size, id be worth it,, the 16" look a little small for the a6 because its such a big car, i couldnt stand my stock 16s for the first 3 months i owned mine, i just bought the RS6 rims and got new tires. cheaper than i thought.

How do you like those tires. I'm not sure I like them that much but it was a kind of get them or have nothing to drive on at that moment.

umm, well they arent to bad, I mean, they are quiet and dont really have alot of road noise. The leak air a tad so you have to check them every once in a while. The grip seems good in the dry and rain, but I have a 2.8Q so its not like a have traction problems, lol. I prefer contis though, Im gonna get pro contacts on my R8 reps. Both my parents MK5 VWs have them, and I really like them. The potenzas were free, along with the wheels, so I cant complain about them to much, had a blow out on one of em though, so now Im back to stock wheels. Which btw, if you are looking for an awesomw winter tire, I have semperit sport grips, they were only 71 per tire and the work great, they grip like no other in the snow, plus they are quiet, and didnt lose a single pound sitting all summer! When I switched, they were still at 35psi!

Why would you get lower profile tires on 16s? Unless you want your speedo to top out at 160 while in reality moving at 10 mph... Seriously, not only will it look bad, but it will mess with your speedo and give you a crappy gas mileage.

I wasnt sure if he means actuall smaller side walls on his current wheel size or if hes sayin good summer tires that have a good square profile, not rounded sidewalls. I went with the second guess, cause the first is a stupid idea! Never change the rolling size of the tire, unless you have a big ole' truck
