How much boost does it run and how much does it flow at that psi? I want to get that number in lbs/min and i can then see if that kit is worth it or not.

Here's the deal with the airflow etc. When I find out how much boost you're I can run, I should be able to find the graph for airflow. If it's in CFM, I can take that number, multiply it by .07 and get the airflow in lb/min (at sea level and 80*F). Then, I can multiply the lb/min by 10 for the givin rpm, and that should be the maximum achievable HP at the crank at that givin RPM.

Just some thoughts.

I really am interested in this kit...

Okay, max psi of the s/c is 10psi at probably the top of the rpm range. Don't quote me on that, you'll need to ask Winslow, and he is likely the only one who can give you the propper correct answers to your questions.

These two dyno's are from a 3.0a4 quattro. so the numbers are quattro WHP numbers. multiply them by 1.21/1.22 some where in there to get your numbers at the crank.

Several guys with the g3 make more than the advertiesed 320. 3.0king makes 335 with stratospher cai and supersprint exhaust.

Last i talked with winslow he was thinking that the new thermal exhause speciffically made for the g3 could possibly bring it up to about 350 chp. which would translate into 273 whp on a quattro a4.

I asked about
port and polish, headers, manifold extrude and hone, 50 hp shot of nitros... your best of hearing his answers directly from him.

anywho, I hope that helps.

******edit

this is a dyno on the g2 done on a fwd passat 2.8 this will give you a comparison of the hp loss due to quattro

JP, if you have CVT, there's no way it'll handle that much power without breaking the belts.

Well.. why would they promote this product on the A6 3.0L then? Didn't the A6 3.0L only come with the CVT?

Btw - the photos, magazine articles and information.. I give it an A+ .. and I thank you for taking the time to post it.

3.0 quattro isn't CVT
You got me there.. damn.

So, once again, there is no hope for the A6 3.0L (w/ CVT).

Is there a way to strengthen the belts on the CVT? Are we talking damage is "inevitable" with this kit or are we talking damage "could" happen to the CVT?

I guess I will get on the phone and talk this over a bit with Winslow if he will give me an audience.

Thanks all.

give winslow a call I am betting the cvt for the 3.0 is significantly beefier thann the cvt for the 1.8t.

Winslow is the only one that can fully answer your question.

remember the 3.0 also comes in the quattro. it suprises me that there is a front track only a6...

I just talked to Winslow.. VERY nice guy and VERY customer service oriented... A+

He says that out of the 40+ kits sold, he hasn't had any problems on the ones sold to CVT's. They are also making a little bit of revisions on the software.

I will definetely get the kit.

Aye he's a wealth of knowlege, does not give you the typical bs you get from car folks. If he's tested it he'll tell you the results if he has not he'll give you his best guess.
