Audi A4 3.0 Misfire
Hi guys new to the forum so apologies if this has been asked before.
I have an 02 A4 B6 Avant 3.0 ASN which is throwing misfire code (cyl 5) the first time it goes through 2000rpm on a low load, if i drive hard through the rev range no issues. The car misses but only for a second and eml blinks up. No other loss of power juddering or any other signs of the misfire and only the first time it goes through 2000 rpm generally in 2nd or 3rd.
All vac lines check , new timing belt, rollers, tensioners and water pump, plug and coil pack. Issue still remains. Am thinking cam position sensor or injector but cant see why it only happens the first time through 2000rpm and then no other time?
Any advice greatly received. Sadly cant do any live monitoring as no VCDS just cheap reader

Consider swapping your ignition control module with the ICM from the other bank and see if the misfire issue follows the ICM or if it stays there. The ICMs are known to cause weird misfire issues as our cars age.

Yes. Essentially follow the wires for the coils on that bank backwards and you will eventually hit the ICM for that bank. I know on the 2.7T they are found around the air box, so they're probably not too far from there on the 3.0.
