Hi all, im looking to buy an Audi a6 but not sure which size of engine I should go for. I have seen a nice 3.0tdi quattro manual s-line but a lot of folk are saying it will drink fuel big time. I currently own a BMW 520d and im only getting around 37mpg if im lucky although the spec says combined is around 47.9mpg, no way i am getting that.

The other option was a 2.0tdi but it seems a small engine compared to the size of the car, so it might use as much fuel as the 3.0 litre because its pulling a heavier car.

Im looking for advice if anyone owns a 3.0tdi or 2.0tdi as to what sort of mpg you are getting, so I can make my mind up. Many Thanks
