Tyres For A6 3.0TDI Quattro
I have a 2004 A6 TDi Quattro Tiptronic, which came with Michelin Pilot Premacy Tyres fitted. They have worn quite badly, and I now have to replace them prior to my annual summer holiday to France, which will involve a drive from the ferry port in Roscoff to Beziers, a distance of over 1000 kms.
I have been quoted €210 for new Michelins, and €140 for new pirellis.
Obviously, I want to restrict myself to tyres made in the EU, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice or experiences with either of these brands on an A6 Quattro?
This is my third Audi A6, but my previous ones were all petrol powered.

Firstly what milage did you get from your tyres and did they wear evenly. Which magazine tested tyres and rated Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD as the best on a 225/45/17 W rated tyre. Primacy is a comfort tyres that did not do too well by Autocar, but should have a good life. I use Bridgestone Potenza RE720 on my 2002 Audi a6 brcause of their roadholding ability. I don't know yet how they wear. Let me know how you get on.
