Default Audi A6 3.2 fuel consumption problem

hello everybody. I bought 2005 A6 3.2 FSI quattro (from usa),one thing that troubles me is a fuel consumtion - 12.7mpg (18.5 L/K) (city) No bad simptoms, spark plugs are ok, filters ok, the most strange is that computer diagnosis says everything is perfect (fuel oxygen mix - perfect) guys from the cervice center here, in Georgia (caucasus), say everything is ok.or if somebody had such "strange" problems, could you comment what was the reason. or may be it is realy OK?

What is your consumption based on – display numbers or refill volume at the pump?

What is the mileage of the car?

Is your knowledge on the mileage based on the display readings only?

I wonder if there is something lost in translation with the units of measure.
Can you give us the numbers in liters, along with the distance in kilometers?

Stated consumption is - 12.7mpg (18.5 L/K)

My wife can get 14l/100km easily in the city (even 16 l/100 in the winter.

FSI could be very fussy on the fuel brand - I ovrherd (in the dealership) that Audi issued a worning using Shell?!?.

Try clean (purge) the fuel system - injectors, valves, combustion chambers.
There could be carbon deposits one should get rid off.

On a second thought- the valves might not be dirty due to the nature of FSI
