Hi
can anyone help please?

I have an 2003 Audi A6 which has a severe vibration on idle from the tensioner on the alternator belt
I have had bottom pulley checked,new tensioner fitted and power steering pump replaced,alternator checked but vibration is still there.

Does anyone have any idea what it can be.

Check the bearing in the AC clutch pulley with the belt removed. Spin the AC clutchpulley and listen for bearing noise.

 

Thanks for the advice,you weren`t far out,It was the one way clutch in the alternator pulley.(torrington race)
