serpentine belt tensioner or alternator pulley
Hi all,
I started to hear weird metal sounds under the hood yesterday. My car is a 2004 A4 with a 1.8T engine (Quattro) But I am not really sure where it is coming from. But my guess is either the serpentine (accessory) belt tensioner gone bad or may be the alternator pulley . I am posting a video of that are and sound can clearly be heard. The serpentine tensioner seems to be wiggling a lit is that normal. Thanks in advance for the suggestions.
Also when this breaks when driving it does not create any mechanical problems other than the alternator goes off and all the pumps stop working and car stops. right?
