Hi i have an audi a6 1.8t 2000 model ,a couple of weeks ago someone reversed into my car only damaging the front bumper slightly ,so i was wondering if i bought a brand new genuine rs6 front bumper for a 2003 rs6 will this bolt straight on or is their any modifacation involved , as i really want to put a rs6 front bumper on any advice would be helpfull thanks
ps i have searched the forum but can't find a straight answer on this unless i've missed somewhere.

 

there would be a lot of modification involved... mostly, it is too wide and would require different supports

 

^ same as OC said and also, not sure if it would make a difference but since the RS is post facelift, it has a different grill and hood, wouldnt that cause a problem with how the bumper fits on a pre facelift car... not sure on this. Also, it might not look right since the RS has wide as* front fenders and yours doesnt.

 

Sorry for the late reply ,i never knew they was wider they just look the same shell but with different bumpers on ,i already have a new bonnet on and rs6 front grille was just hopeing to add front bumper as well ,my a6 is the b6 model don't know if you was aware of this ,so how is the rs6 actually wider is it the shell or the wings? thanks for your replys any further help would be gratefull.

ps or do you just mean the bumper is wider.

 

hi its another question though...wouldn't the RS6 bumper fit 2000 A6 4.2 with no mod...
i'm just curious cuz both are wider
