Im looking into the GIAC chip for my 2.8 A6, AWE does it for 300, and for 150 I can get the flash loader and 50 more to get the stock code on the programmer. So that ends up to be $500 for 10hp and 10ftlbs!!!!!!! Im wondering if I should just get the chip and say screw the flash loader... Also, is there a better deal out there then GIAC, I mean not just cheaper but somthin thats just as good and cheaper? Thanks, Matt.

 

As far as I know, GIAC's chip is worth the money in a 2.7T but in a 2.8? 10 hp is not a lot for a $500 chip. GIAC's chip is very aggressive and in a 2.7T you would see an addition of 60-80 hp and 80 lbs of torque. It's all about the boost and fueling but with no turbos, you might look for another chip.

 

Giac is only like 250, some dealerships offer the flash and some places do it for 150

 

The only place I found was AWE, 300 for the pump gas chip. Where can I find it for 150-250???
