this is a great video for people who own a 4.2 a6, but can't seem to find aftermarket performance parts for them. these guys can do just about anything, so don't let the 2.7t owners walk all over you anymore! anyways, great video of some of the potential that we 4.2 can achieve with a little help!!!

So about this supercharger... is it going to be totally bolt-on w/software, or will the pistons need to be replaced for lower compression? Any speculation on that?

Also, I read in the other thread about roughly ~50hp performance gainfrom the listed mods.I'd say a 17% power gain is pretty good for starters.

I'm curious though, when VAST gets this all up and running full speed will they set it up in packages, like Stage I, II, III?

 

Thanks. The car in the video is kurt's one of the vast guys. I am on the list for the supercharger.
But the list is kinda hard to explain how it came to be and how it works.

right now the Vast guys are still looking fora few more test customers before they release more info. (that is what was told to me) I have seen the parts they all look good. they said they were just waiteing on more feed back and info. I am on a list of contacted people for 4.2 testing.

It kinda works like this. Vast has you test some part that is not sold to the public yet and you give your feed back. Then they say hey if you know someone that would truly enjoy this performance upgrade let us know.
If you call I think they say they are working on stuff but don't have it available. but if you are referred you have access to the parts. I have referred a few people maybe they can chime in

As for the parts I know they are working on a stage 1 , 2 , & 3 set up. I know they have different levels of tip chips. as for the exact break down I am not sure. All I know is it is very exciting if you are a 4.2 guy now

I E mailed him about his car and he put me in contact with the Vast guys. It is funny if you call and ask if they have something for the V8 they will tell you they are working on it but yes they do. I am going to go up there friday and get a tip and ecu chip I will post the results and let you guys know how it turns out.

there is alot of exciting stuff comming for our cars. it is about time sorry mr. 2.8.....you could always call and ask if you are local Im sure they would try and work with you

 

Yeah! This is way exciting for us! I could swear that was your car, but after further review I can say that car is definitely not the same color as yours. Regardless, both cars sound amazing.

As for VAST, from what you've explained they really seem to have it together.Arguably the most important thing to a company is their reputation and VAST seems to value this. I am looking forward to visiting the good ol' motor city and my very home state Michigan when I return from Iraq.

If it will benefit VAST and other enthusiasts in our community I am willing to volunteer for testing. PM sent!
