Post BAM! here's a fresh CEL for you... Thanks A6!

It figures that I get a CEL as my emissions test date closes in on me

Borrowed a co workers vag-com and ran a Diag.

Below is a partial output from the vag-com log. I don't expect you guys to do all the work for me but please throw me some links or recommendations to get me started on any of the below items.

...and you bet I'm searching around the net currently.

Damn, thats a lot of fault codes you don't want.
Both cat converters are fried.
The torque converter is toast.
The engine speed sensor one might be bogus because the car wouldn't start if it were bad.
As for the cooling faults, it could indeed be a bad water pump or thermostat, possibly a bad CTS sensor. Have you replaced the timing belt, water pump, and thermostat yet?

Your best bet is to erase all the fault codes and see what comes back as a hard fault. If this is the 3.0L A6 you are testing im sorry to say that the re-flash for the cat converters don't apply here and you may be up ***** creek. However you may be able to fool the tester by installing non fouler O2 sensors or custom making a spacer in between the sensors and the cats, giving the O2 sensors false readings. He may fail you if he sees the spacers though.
