Battery Light
Well i just replaced my battery, do to a few hard starts, figure it was time after 5 yrs.
Any way; during the life of my old battery when i would start the car after sitting for a while the battery light would stay on, until i started to drive the car... (leads me to believe the battery is low, alternator is charging it.) So i assumed it wouldn't happen after putting a brand new battery in. Well it still does happen. Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas of what could be the cause?
Did a searchand didn't really come up with much.

well, in my past with various cars.... It has always been the alternator that needed an R&R... I have at least replaced 10 in my lifetime, and the battery light always came on, and after putting in a new one, the light went off. My opinion would be to remove it, and have it tested... and start pricing a new one
also, check your voltmeter on your gauge cluster... my A6 always reads at 15.... at night do your lights dim when you raise your windows... turn on your turnsignals.... press the break.... all signs of a bad alternator.... again, this has been the case in the past for me
