Just be carefull with VAG-COM ross-tech replika interface. I bought one and now i have problem. My radio does not work. I can turn it on, but no sound. That wire is a crappy !!! Now i need to go to dealer and spend some more $$$$ for repair. Only one think can help, buy original tool from Ross-tech (software + wire interface) by 300$ approx.

 

Thats probably just coincidence, but yeah the cables from e bay suck.[:'(]

 

I couldn't agreed with you more. I wasted a lot of money trying to buy the cheap one from ebay, got what i paid for...they're crap. Finally bought the real thing, i dont regret it one bit.

 

My ebay cable works just great... thats too bad you guys are having bad experiences with them..

 

So what software are you using with your budget cable?

 

Its one of the older releases of vagcom.

 

Definitely get the real thing. It's worth every penny, and will pay for itself the first time you use it.

 

My eBay cable works great as well with version 3.11. It does everything I need it to do.

 

Yeah 3.11 thats what I have to.. and yeah mine does everything I need it for too!

 

hmm, i thryied to check code 56 (radio). That thing start to do something. After that i tryied to turn on my radio, but no sound. Then i reconnect again, but VAG-COM show me "No response from controller". Other functions work's great, just elektric checing fail all the time.
