Default boost sensor

changing my air filter and saw that the hose is broken off. is it important? should i fix it immediatley? it is running fine right now i guess.

it says boost sensor on it but i actually think it is more of a MAP sensor

Really doubt its a boost sensor on a 2.8L NON TURBO engine. Do you have a pic of it?

yeah it is but that is what i found with the broken neck on the bottom. so i am going to use it. it even has the same #s on the top. why is it in my car?

You don't need a boost sensor in a car that doesn't have turbos! That sensor doesn't belong under the hood of your A6. Yank that POS out of there, its not doing anything for you.

turn the car on and put your finger over the vac line ... then see if it is even in use haha
