I've used the Icons since I bought my A6 in 2005, and that includes a ton of winter highway driving. They work pretty well. In some conditions, no wiper will work. I do brush the snow off the windshield before driving and I treat my windshield with Rain-X. You need to "rub it out" to prevent hazing but it literally streams the rain off the windshield and helps snow slide off more easily. I'm on set number 2 -- not bad for 5 years and 140k miles.

o ok so I basically have to take that bolt off and pull the arm off and move it up a couple of notches? And when I take that bolt off how does the arm come off does it pull off?

The shaft is tapered so it just a press fit (no splines). You just need to pull straight up. There is a puller that you can buy, but pulling straight up or a little prying with a screw driver is enough to pop the arm.

Arrow some audi wipers dealer only, others available aftermarket

Many of the newer audi vehciles have proprietary wiper arms and blades and you must get audi wipers. For some audi make/years, their engineers did play nice in the sandbox and used more universal mounting systems...fyi. If you find a wiper match online (or in the books or at the counter), then you probably have universal mounts. If not, its probably dealer-only.

I'm lucky and can use aftermarket replacements. I used to be an icon guy, but a while back I switched to trico neoforms. IMO they work better, are super quiet and cost much less.

I had this pair installed by my indy shop, $79.00 they are very good and quiet so far. I think it is Bosch AERO.

OUCH!! I just bought two sets of neoforms for my vehicles and they came out to less than $9 a wiper after rebate and free shipping. Installation took less than 1 minute on each vehicle. I think your shop as some splain' to do...
