We have a 2004 A6. One of the third break light LED's were blown so we went and replaced the burnt LED bulb. B4 we replace the light the car would "beep" and flash Brake Light on the heads-up display.
Now after we have replaced the bulb, the damn car is still showing "Brake Light" and beeps every time I lift my foot off the brake. We I depress the brake pedal the indicator goes off the display, and then when I take my foot off the pedal and onto the gas, it beeps again and shows the warning.
Why could this be? Any help would be appreciated.
BTW, we have checked all brake lights and they are all good.

I have an audi 1005 a6 as well. The brake light beeps 3 times and flashes 5 times. Then it goes away. It does that in cycles. A couple a months ago audi replaced the sensor but it still does it
