Default Brilliant Black vs. Phantom Black Pearl

Looked at a Phantom Black Pearl 09 A6 3.0 last week and in the shade it looked almost brown. It had just rained the night before and the car was dirty, maybe that was what I was seeing. Looking for pros/cons or info on the Black pearl compared to the Brilliant Black.

I'm not shopping for a new Audi, but you already know black is the toughest color to keep clean and shows swirls easily. On the other hand, when properly cared for and waxed, they are gorgeous. Personally, I think silver is a good compromise, but I'm prejudiced.

Default Brilliant Black vs Ice Silver Metallic

I am ready to order a 2009 A4 Premium Plus. I am dying to get the black; but, having once owned a 1990 black 300ZX, I am afraid of the swirls and other difficulties in keeping the Billiant Black brilliant.
Has anyone had any experience with the Brilliant Black as to swirls or other problems?
Any problems/comments on the Ice Silver Metallic?
Thanks for any input.
