I looked at a nice 08' A6 4.2 S-Line. It was fully loaded with about every option. Really nice looking car. Price was good however it had 94k miles. I have to assume the mileage is mostly highway however I am concerned that it could be repair hog. I currently have a 2000 A4 Quattro and 07' BMW so am familiar with maintenance on European vehicles. I am considering consolidating my 07' BMW Coupe and A4 to something else.

Was wondering others thoughts and experience with these cars and reliability of the A6 with the 4.2 FSI cars with higher miles. Is there a major service at 100k for these cars? Maintenance is one thing that needs to be done and is expected however repairs due to stuff breaking is another. I can't have a car that is in the shop all the time.
