Default A/C Fan Voltage Help

H iAll,
Haven't posted in awhile.
I have a problem with my AC Blower, I checked the current voltage, and
it comes and go, it goes to zero to normal (below 12v), so my fan (blower) goes on and off.
Basically the power goes on and of to the blower.

Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks-

The climate control sends different voltages depending on the setting. The Auto setting will change the voltage automatically. If when set manually to a fan speed your blower motor is changing voltages, check your blower motor resistor.

Right, but why is that there's no current going to the blower?
It just says "0" then few mins later it would say "some" voltage, that's when it spins...

If your resistor pack is going bad it'll cycle between 'open' and normal when it gets hot then cools...

Hey Jim,
Are you talking about the resistor pack inside the blower itself?
If you are, I tested it to another 12v line and it spins.
I probe the line before it goes to power up the blower, the voltage
current comes and goes, on and off.
Cheers-

Ok.. so the power to the blower is coming and going.. got that. I dont know what year you have, but on mine there is a 'Blower Control Module' that feeds the blower, this is where the resistor packs are (or rheostat if thats used). On mine there's 2 GRN/WHT wires at the blower, one goes to the Climate Control, the other to Control Module.

Dont know on yours.. you will prolly have to get a service manual or try to trace the wire back.

DO you have a solar panel sunroof? If so replace the solar sunroof relay. Its numbered 385 behind the panel under the steering wheel, its a 6 pin relay. When these go bad it prevents current from reaching the blower motor.

NICE!!!
Yes, I have a Solar Sunroof
Thanks Much I will replace that sucker.
I will let you know the outcome once I locate and buy it at the dealer.
If this is the culprit, this post should be in the archive made possible by "auditech79"
Thanks So Much-
