Default A/C Low Side port

Ok.. where's the A/C's Low Side port at on the 1996 2.8?

I hate that the compressor is buried underneath...

Ok.. so after going through several pages of people asking, and usually getting no clear answer, I found a post that says 1996 A4 2.8's didnt have one... Well thats BS. They had to have filled it up somehow.

Anyone know where the factory port is and if there's an adaptor?

Ok.. answering my own question, after a search around the web I found an adapter that should work: MasterCool 82272. I saw something like this at the store, different brand, but didnt get it....

So, instead of retapping the threads on the Low Pressure Switch's boss, this adapter just screws into place.... Still need to jumper the connector though...

Now have to find it on my car

Yeah that will work, audi uses an adapter on the A/C compressor that looks like this.

So is that where I should do it? On the back side of the compressor? Or is the low press. switch ok too?

Be nice to find a tee and mount permanently...

If you could do it at the compressor you would have a much better result, plus you could make it permanent like you said. If you want to print out the pics i have and take it to the dealer they can probably find you the part numbers for it.
Using the low pressure switch will still work, but from what i remember a little leaks out when you disconnect it, i could be wrong on that though.
