C4 Service Reminder Reset

C4 Service Reminder Reset
Ok, ok....are like three pages full of this topic from all the forums (A4 predominant), I know.
As far as I can gather though, and mostly from Auditech's reply to Beefski concerning older models, the OEL, IN1, and IN2 can be reset in C4s only via Vag-Com, unlike the C5s and up.
I searched and searched for hours in various other forums as well, also via Google and I can't come across any information concerning the values that can be entered. Ross-Tech has some instructions, but only mentions the fact that value "12" is the default for N. America.
My questions is:
did anyone with a C4 (NH? Beefski?) and a Vag-Com end up successfully resetting the infamous 3 nags, and if yes, do you guys have a source for the values that can be input or even customized?
For instance, I would like to set my oil reminder at 5,000 miles, which is less than the "standard" 12 value for 7,500 miles. The other ones (IN1; IN2) I would like to set them to 12 (or 24?) months or 10,000 miles, I can't remember which one is which.
Any thoughts, reactions, or positive experiences?
Thank you.

Well, I guess I'll try whatever Ross-Tech suggests and just plug in the standard values:
I guess I'll try this route, although only Release /Version 805. appears to have the SRI feature. Until I can reset it in 409.1, it sounds like some sort of a contradiction to me.
Oh well...
If you are using an older version of VAG-COM then you should follow these instructions:
Pre-1998 models ... or if Channel 02 is not available:
[Select]
[17 - Instruments]
[Adaptation - 10]
Enter the correct channel from the list below in "Channel Number"
[Read]
The "Stored Value" is the current value for that channel.
Enter the "New" value of from the list below.
[Test]
[Save]
Channel 05 should be the distance until the next Oil Service.
It is in thousands of kilometers. Let's say you want the Oil
Service light to come on in 5000 miles. That would be 8000 km.
Put the value 8 into channel 05. The "standard value" used by the US dealers would be 12 (7500 miles).
Channel 06 should be the distance until the next In-1 Service.
Same units as above. Standard value would be 24 (15,000 miles).
Channel 07 should be the time until the next In-1. In-1 lights up based on time or distance, whichever comes first. This is in
10's of days. Standard value would be 36 for 360 days.
Channel 08 would be time until the next In-2. In-2 is based strictly on time. Standard value is 72 for 720 days (about
two years).
