C4 suspension

Im looking for springs and shocks for my 1997 C4, I go on ebay and see sets that say 97-05, but when I ask them if they will work for my car, they say no, its only for C5 only. Is there a 97 C5? I am totally confused. The production date of my C4 is 04/97.

C4 or C5

Hi,

look on your VIN. If that is marked 4A >>>= C4
If that is marked 4B >>>= C5.
