Just an update to this thread - I'm not sure what to think now.

Drove this weekend roughly, 800 km from Vancouver to Olmypia, Seattle, etc, and not one code since I cleaned the connector and mounted properly on the firewall...

Car ran awesome, and fuel mileage was best it's ever been.

As a side note to that, I had a brittle old check valve that had cracked and was causing a boost leak, which I fixed right before the trip. I never got any code for a boost leak, and didn't know it was there, and not sure how it could be related to any O2 code or if its completely unrealted.

But end result is I haven't had a code in almost 1000km so I think in this case it might have been the connection bouncing around that caused this, or the faint possibility of a boost leak causing a rich condition throwing the O2 out of spec. ???

Thanks to all who posted... For now I'm happy things are working!

If you had a air leak, that would through the O2's off cause the CPU is looking for a certain amount of air, according to the MAF, and the O2 is seeing something different.

Yeah I guess that's totally possible, I'm not sure if it was a coincidence or not. Some host on the intake manifold leaking at like 3PSI. Now that I fixed that, I'm boosting ~8.7PSI which should be about right for stock.
