Default Can 2002 A6 tilt mirrors down in reverse?

I remember reading about this "option" on VWs and even think our 07 Passat had it, but was shocked the other day to see my sister's Passat GLX do it. I think it's an 02, but might be an 03. Anyway, is it possible for 02 A6? A coding in VAG COM perhaps?

Default Mirror tilt in reverse

Yes, My right one does if I leave the mirror switch on right. I haven't tried the left, though.

Tried the left this morning, it does not.

Okay, I'll try the switch to the right. By default, I keep it to the left - guess b/c I'm there. I don't have an owner's manual, so it's probably something very simple and I just don't know about it. Thanks.

Jeff, I think it works only in conjunction with using the memory button/ seat recall via remote.

^^ Naw.. if you leave the mirror button set to the right, when you put the car in reverse the right mirror tilts down so you can see the curb. My mirrors down work atm, so cant test it.

I have a 2000 2.7 and my mirrors do it. Which ever way I turn the switch, that mirror tilts down.

Well, tested it and my car doesn't do it. Can't say I'm surprised - actually would've been more surprised if it actually worked.

So, does anyone know if it a coding in VAG-COM or if the car needs a certain option (memory seats perhaps) to work? I coded my remote to roll down/up windows, so it's not that one. Any ideas? It not really important, but something I'd just like to work if it's suppose to
