I checked with a local shop, they quoted me parts and labor for $4000 +/-.

I think I will just open all windows and crank up the a/c.

well crank the a/c but dont open the windows lol it will defeat the purpose ... window tint is an alternative that may keep temp down a lil

I've seen ads for solar-powered fans that hang on a car window and exhaust the hot air. That, combined with window tint, may help cool the car. Bottom line, most cars in southern FL are white or silver for a reason. I made the mistake of bringing down a black jeep when I moved there and you could fry eggs on the hood in the summer (not to mention my butt when I slid onto the seat).
