Default Can I mix tires Front & Rear

I got a 08 Quattro that had nearly new tires.

Two got damaged due to potholes.

I'd like to replace the front with a slightly different tread pattern via different brand

Am I gonna run into drive line issues with the mismatch?

Thanks

It is very possible you will eventually encounter problems by running different tires front and rear. Even if they start out the exact same size, they will not wear evenly (even with proper tire rotations). Once the tires are out of tolerance of each other (3% I think it the golden rule), it puts undue stress on the center differential, which would be much more expensive than just buying the correct tires in the first place.
