I am moving my car out of the safe protection of a garage to make room for another car. I live in an area that can get quite a bit of snow (40+ inches a year) and am trying to avoid brushing it off and/or snow melting and then refreezing to the car (which is just a huge pain to get off).

I will still be using the car every day, and would just cover it when there is snow/ice in the forecast. I don't really see anybody else doing this, but I'm not sure why. Is this just a bad idea? If it isn't, any rec's on what car cover to get?
