Hey everyone,

I have a 1997 A6 Sedan (Right-Hand Drive [AUS]) and I've having major issues with my radio...basically a few months ago we had to replace the headlight, and since then the radio hasn't been working. I bought a new radio (fairly cheap Pioneer) and tried to connect it up but the radio just won't turn on (either the old one or the new one). So here goes...

~I don't exactly know how to connect everything up properly. I've bought a harness and most wires are fine except for the blue and blue/white power amp/antenna ones.

~I've tried to check the fuses and had a few issues: on the main panel on the driver side dash there is a fuse missing (not sure if needed, I think it's number 17ish) and I just today found a set of fuses on the driver side under the hood...one was blown but when i replaced that with another working fuse the radio still didn't work

~As you can see I still don't know whether it's the radio or an actual fuse (more likely since both radios don't work and I'm fairly certain that no power is getting to the HU)

~An interesting thing: someone has previously fiddled with the radio connections and a couple of the wires were cut and taped in different places (a red wire coming from the car was connected to a pink one coming from the old head unit, and the same with a white which was connected to a grey from the head unit)

I hope someone can help, I'm so sick of paying for people to look at it and not have an idea!!

Thanks so much,
Steve
