Glad it was nothing and went away. I had a CEL after I dumped a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in my daughter's A4. I was driving it and felt a "bump" and then the CEL. I figured it was due to a miss, had it checked at Autozone (first choice, bad catalytic converter - the bastards), and it went away after two weeks.

Yeah, im real glad about that. And to make things better I changed some codes... engine now thinks its in a A4, changed; last diget from a 2 to a 1. This makes it run better, pulls stronger, an it gets better mpgs. Changed the tranny code from 00002 to 00032 making it shift sportier in D and in tip mode, it will not change gears, unless you move the lever. No kick down, it wont even shift at the rev limiter! So now its how tip should be, as close to a manual as it gets, and I love it!

yeah, and its stupid the way Audi has it stock, cause mine would shift out of first at 6200, and that drops the revs to much for the next gear. I push the lever forward at 6500, it actually shifts about 6700 and the revs drop to about 5k, instead of low 4s. That makes the car feel alot stronger! rev limiter is 68 I think.

Hey, so now its back... came on when I started it up today. I turned the key, went strait to fast idle, 1200, and the light came on, no roughness, still pulls 100% once it warmed up. Any idea why its doing this?? Could the exhaust be throwing something off at a cold start?

Edit: I went to Advanced Autoparts and had them scan it before the light went back out. I got two codes, p1114 and p1118 and it says manufacturer control fuel air metering. What does this mean? Is it just because I have free flowing exhaust? Or is it the maf? What might this be? Thanks guys, Matt.

Im not exactly positive but this seems like 02 sensor is going bad for p1118 code. and code 1114 means that your cat is going. not a terrible problem. But I think this is one of the interior cats located near the manifold/Turbo area (the cats located closer to the engine) bank means the side of the engine its located on. Sorry i dont know which side is which. Dont get me wrong it is a problem. but you can drive it like this but eventually running on a bad cat will cause misfiring cylinders. hope this helps! If you dont understand what i just said let me no and ill try to clear it up
