Default CHALLENGE! exterior mods

I am currently a new owner of a 2001 Audi A6 4.2. After much research, I've found this to be the perfect fit and with an overall favor in performance and luxury vs any other luxury vehicle (bmw-lexus-infiniti.) Absolutely an amazing vehicle.

Since there are typically few performance mods that yield a substantial gain for the price, I've decided to research the cosmetic side of things. Let me know what you think! Any information would be greatly appreciated!

(Also if you haven't seen it already, check out the classic and new anniversary A6 commercial! Go to youtube.com and SEARCH audi ski slope!)

1) Saw this makeshift chrome grill kit on ebay. . .I think it makes the vehicle look sharper, but have my doubts when close up and personal? any input?

2) Has anyone switched to something similar to these blue HID's? Is this even the right product I need to get? I assume I only need the bulbs and if so what wattage, or do I need a conversion kit? Easy to install?

3) This is the only A6 body kit I could find. Does anyone know if it's compatible with my 2001 Audi A6 4.2? Unless i'm mistaken, isn't the 4.2 a tiny bit longer and wider? Not sure if this one will work. . . (I emailed the company and am waiting to get a response)

4) Do you think converting to the chrome sideview mirrors looks tacky or cheesy? I can never tell from the pictures, it always looks different when your standing right in front of it.

5) Also thinking about switching the tailights to the smoked or clear? Leaning towards the clear because it is less common than the smoked. Opinions? Yet I also have read that dealing with lltek is a bit inconvenient.

6) Just a little confused on on the backend bottom lip where the tips come out. Is there a special piece thats cut out for the tips to come through? Not sure what exactly is going on here!

The chrome grille's tacky...it would ruin the best looking nose on the market. You should change it to the S6 or RS6 grille.
Those bulbs are imitation HIDs which are cheap and while they are bright for oncoming drivers, they don't give very much light out-put. An HID conversion would be your best bet.
Instead of a body kit, since most of the ones for the A6 are gaudy, I would try to find RS6 body parts.
Chrome mirrors do look good.
For tail lights, I think it depends on the color of your car.
Some people cut holes for the tips, some replace the bumper with a 2002+ bumper.
