check engine light
yesterday i had my oil changed and after a couple of minutes afterward on the highway my check engine light came on? should i take it back and have them take a look at it?

RE: check engine light
input anybody? should i try and see what the codes are first?
|
RE: check engine light
we are unable to give you info with out the code
|
RE: check engine light
alright i will try to get that then
|
RE: check engine light
you did an oil change and didn't reset the the interval, no big deal as long as you log it for personal reasons
|
RE: check engine light
service data can be bought in many places ( even I can stamp your book for you ) but I wouldn't "its a case of soul searching" personlay its worthless because it can be replicated
|
RE: check engine light
let me put you wide on this "receipts" for none dealer work which is better than service info

RE: check engine light
p130 and a p150 were the codes it threw. are o2 sensors immportant?
|
RE: check engine light
P0130 = O2 sensor 1, bank 1 circuit malfunction,
P0150 = has 2 meanings ( heated (HO2s) 1, bank 2 and the same O2 side has failed ) which means that sensor needs to be replaced, they could be both related because of wiring and sensor fail but I would be looking at P0150 as being the cause and yes the O2 sensors are very important because they directly increase fuel consumption |
RE: check engine light
i had the light turned off. if it is still wrong shouldn't it come back on?
