Just curious... Anyone chipped a 2.7T Tiptronic. Have read here that the tiptronic can't take the extra horses, but is this really the case? Did the S6 only come in manual? What about the 4.2?

I mean, I know its not a good idea and that you risk doing some damage if you really push it, but has anyone actually hear of someone who chipped the tiptronic and what thier experiences were.

As well, could I chip it, but not go for the 65 HP increase, but maybe reprogram chip to go for 40HP?

Thoughts?

RE: Chipping a Tiptronic
Giac makes both an engine and tranny chip.
It has been suggested that you should ALWAYS chip the tranny, if you chip the ECU.
Best advice to date, to save the tranny.
Plus the tip chip helps it keep up w/the engine RPMs.

Good Luck!
