Cool Christmas Eve Story

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring except the cat that was chasing a mouse

I, in my PJs had just settled down with my Bentley Manual to see if I could figure out what the damn CEL code P0411 really means when out in the street there arose such a clatter that I had to get up to see what was the matter.
(Note: all attempts at rhyming stops from this point on)

The moon was shining on the new fallen snow that had a an icy glaze as the temperature went up and down.
And what to my wondering eyes should appear but vehicles spread all over the street and even some in my front yard.

I stepped out the door.
As my feet met the porch I slipped on the ice and landed flat on my a$$.
I pulled my self up and looked all around only to be confronted with a junkyard scene

There was a BMW stuffed in my wife’s garden with its taillights aglow,
A Buick asunder because it tried to move the great oak,
And pimply faced kid with tears streaming down his face as he viewed his stang that met with our stone wall.

The street was no better with a soccer mom’s van lying on its side.
And a bunch of boxes from a big assed truck that looked like a bent twig.

Further down the road I could see that my neighbor was enjoying the same spectacle with an upside down Merc spinning its wheels and an old clapped out vette lodged in his hedge.

As I stood and marveled at the mayhem, two headlights appeared on the road. I then watched in awe as my wife drove our AUDI A6 Quattro into the yard. As she got out she said ‘Nice evening!” and passed into the house.

The best I could figure, my wife had just driven the AUDI through a 100 year ice storm never knowing that it was slippery.

As I turned to go in the house I heard an old guy shout “Merry Christmas to all - Thank God I ditched the sleigh and got an AUDI to deliver these stupid presents”

Have a Merry Christmas…

And don't forget to thank your Audi for the great year.

Quite nice! When I first saw "christmas eve story", I thought damn spam crap, but since you are a "actual" AF member, its all good!

Thanks go too the A6, who may have cost me more money this year than anything else put together, but its ok. Despite it all, I love that car, and wouldnt trade it for anything

The last part applies completely to my wife experience with the car.
Driving in a icy, snow roads in a blizzards is of no issue - any question on the road conditions I ask - the response: don't know, I'm driving a tank.
(Needless to say that there is no attention paid to any lights on the display).
I'd wish I had and will have the same experience (worry less car exploitation).

Mary Christmas and Happy New Year.

Nice story NH USA, the quattro is pretty amazing in the winter, I hope that story is fictional.
