I replaced all 6 coils on my 02 A6 2.7T and does anyone know how to test the old coils. I want to keep the old/good ones a spairs.

 

Do your self a favor & chuck them in the garbage , New Audi coils suck with a limited life, Used Audi coils are called garbage.

 

Yup. Exactly. These are one of those things that you're better off not keeping around because they will start to fail suddenly. There's no way to "guess" when a coil is going to fail or to determine the exact health of the coil.

 

Okay pitch the old coils, Got it. The new coils I installed are the same brand (Beru) as what I removed. Will I have the same problem with the new coils?
