got a ticket for 74 in a 70

do cops hate audi drivers? or was he bored?

 

I would fight that. Cop may not show, if not the judge might laugh at it.

 

it is honestly only a $25 ticket. it really isn't worth fighting to me.

 

I got nicked for the same 74/70 near Detroit last winter. I was actually doing 80-85. Cop felt sorry for me and reduced the speed, telling me there would be no points. So I figured the $130 ticket was just a local revenue producer. But the bastard turned it in to the state and it showed up when my insurance renewed....no points, but it bumped my cost by $100/6 months for speed in zone.

 

would my insurance go up because of this joke of a ticket?

 

Probably. That's the problem. The $25 is nothing, but here in MA that ticket stays around for SEVEN YEARS before you get the safe driver discount again. So it costs a lot more. Depends on your state though.

I was driving 30mph, obviously driving slow and a biker cop looks at my car seeing it was an audi. He instantly put the radar at my car and got really upset with my speed of 30mph in a 35mph. The look at the audi as a cash crop of tickets. You can't get the speed calibrated on your car because of the AWD, or not a good one adleast. bah **** cops when i just hit it ;P
