could someone check?
could someone check their fuse compartment and see if you have a #5 fuse in slot 43? Mine is an 01 2.7t. I would greatly appreciate it. I don't have one there, but when I try ti put one in, it just slides in and out - like it's not wanting to lock.
I looked into there, and there was no little gold contact in there. On the fuse panel it says RADIO(A6). I can't get the code in my book to be accepted by my radio. Is there any certain position the key has to be in while the radio sits on for the hour it takes to be able to enter the code again. THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!
As far as the fuse goes, I don't have the means of checking right now. For the radio, I would be very careful not to lock the unit. I believe you only have a few tries before it will lock itself, only to be unlocked by the stealership.
so are you saying it can lock up for good after trying to enter more than two times? I've tried many times after leaving key in the ignition lock for the hour the book says for code re-entry. The numbers come up for me to set , but it won't accept them for some reason. if i have to go to the stealership, how much $ are we talking?
finally figured out the problem. pulled my radio and found out that it wasn't the same one that came with the code that was on the card. luckily it was written on top of the radio. finally, no deafening silence anymore!
