Default Couple of Questions, Oil and coolant temps.

When i bought th car before i did any work to it (oil change and timming belt kit)
the oil temp stayed at the first temp bar, and the coolant stayed at 90 degrees. After i got the timming belt kit done, and the oil changed it seems like the temps are hotter, the oil temp goes almost strait up and the coolant goes to the next bar past 90 degrees.

any ideas why or is it fine?

the car is a 2000 2.7t

Thanks

Double check you bled the coolant completely...

My water temp has always been consistently dead center on the gauge. Oil temp ranges from >200o around town and short trips, to 225o when driving distance on the highway (70-80mph), and has gone to 250o (middle of gauge) after spirited driving (100+ mph).

I'd bet that the thermostat was changed with the TB kit and it now works!
