Default Cracked Window UK

Hi All,

My audi a6 2.8 quattro (with every extra i can think of) is due its MOT (test certificate) very soon, i have a very nasty circled crack in my windscreen which is surely an mot failure.

I have attached a picture for view, can someone confirm this is unreparable? needs replacing? any suggestions for companies to use?

My insurance does not cover windscreens due to having trade insurance.

Thanks for your help!

Tricky

A car windscreen will not pass the MOT if it has damage that is more than a 1Omm circle in the area swept by the wipers and 290min wide immediately in front of the steering wheel. It can also fail if the damage extends beyond a 40mm circle in the rest of the area swept by the windscreen wipers,

many breakers yards fit secondhand screens from damaged cars for approx £40 and are as good as new, worth a thought

edit : and yes your sunscreen is shot and beyond repair

Thanks for that avant,

i'll have a chat with the local breakers see what they can do for me, £40 sounds like a great deal, i was quoted £500 from autoglass, and more from audi, so anything under £100 i will get done immediatly.

Cheers again
