that means headlamp defective.. AKA burnt out headlight or fog light

yo i have one fog light out and nothing came up?!?!? whats wrong here?

 

i dont think the fogs get the light if out cause i took the bulbs out of mine for a while and i didnt have a light either, even when i put the switch for the fogs on without the bulbs in (its automatic for me already).

 

that was just a guess cause i know the benz's do that and i had mine do it once when mine went out.. i have no clue why yours done.. but i would guess its the corner light that is what that symbol came up for? replace it and see if it goes away

 

im 100 percent on it doing that for the low beams though.

 

i have fog light, but mine never on ( dont know how to turn it on), and i never get taht signal..

i got 1999 a6 quattro

 

turn the switch so that ur low beams are on, then pull out the switch towards u one click for front fogs, and two for front and back.

 

if they dont come on by you pulling the switch then you would have a blown fuse, thats what i discovered with mine, and it was the fuse underneith the dash.
