Default Dashboard not displaying properly

Hello, I have a 2001 A6, my dashboard goes dark after I turn the car on. The long message about having to apply the brake etc etc shows up when I first turn the ignition, but once the car is on, the main display that shows the weather, mileage, radio stations etc is not displaying at all. Any help will be appreciated.

The central display (radio station on top, temperature in middle, and mpg or miles to empty in the bottom) can be turned on/off by the button on the bottom of the right-hand stalk. The button on the end of the stalk cycles through the various computer functions in the bottom display (instant mpg, average mpg, miles to empty, driving time, etc.),

Default tt 3.2 roadster central display

Hi, I've just bought a 2004 3.2 v6 tt roadster and the central display is missing so many lines you can't read it any more. Does anyone know how to remove the dashboard to get to the display?? Yes, I'm a woman so pics will help. Jo

It's pretty easy actually. There are two screws that hold the speedometer cluster in place so all you need is a screwdriver. The screws are hidden by a plastic cover on top of your steering wheel which you just pull out. Once you take out the screws wiggle out the cluster(it's usually tight so be patient with it)then unplug 3 electrical connectors behind it. there's a more detailed video on youtube, just type " speedometer cluster audi". Good luck

+1 There are A LOT of posts about this, just research it (directed towards joserita and anyone else who stumbles upon this thread)
