Default Difference between 4.2 and the rest?

I am interested in trading in my 01 TT 225 and gettin a A6, what is the differences, besides the engine in the 4.2 model and the rest. It looks like the 4.2 has a different grill and front bumper, and some pictures look like they have some side skirts at the buttom of the doors, and possibly a rear spoiler? Does all this come on the 4.2, or maybe just certain years? I am talkin pre 2005.
Thanx for the help
Justin

4.2 receives a different front end to house the V8, fender flares, larger wheels/tires, I believe the brakes are the same as the 2.7t. 4.2 sport package is available as well which includes sport seats and suspension. Rear seat in 4.2 is different from 2.8/3.0/2.7t.

The 4.2 has door skirts and longer front fenders and hood to house the V8. Also has large fender flares. If you look closely you will also notice that the 2.7T, 2.8, 3.0 grill is surrounded by the hoods sheet metal (silver car)on all sides ( its fit into the hood through a cut out). The 4.2 grill is surrounded on the top side and left/right side (black car). The bottom is exposed and is flush with the top of the bumper. The brakes are not the same as the 2.7T. The hats on the 4.2 front rotors have a 22.7mm offset (distance away from the disc surface) but have a like diameter and thickness of 321mmX30mm but the 2.7T has a 16.7mm offset. I think the 4.2 was built like that to accomodate the design and size of its larger wheels for caliper clearance. I don't think the rear rotors are the same diameter(269mmx22mm)as the all the other models either.

ORIGINAL: SilverA6

The grill is on all post facelift A6's not just the 4.2. it's on any A6 after 2002. I belive everything else is correct tho. the pic of the silver A6 is a pre-facelift version
