Default Discoloration of door lock toggle

The plastic black door lock toggle switch on the inside door panel has become discolored from repeated use. Underneath, it is white which makes the discoloration very apparent. Otherwise, the inside of my 2002 A6 (FWD, 3.0, CVT) is flawless. I have looked for the part on Ebay parts with no success. Can anyone tell me the name of this part? How difficult is it to replace? Does replacement require removal of the entire inside door panel?

Default RE: Discoloration of door lock toggle

Its the door lock switch. Yes youll have to remove the door panel but its really easy on the a6. Remove two screws on the outer top edges of teh door panel. The pull the panel up and off. Youll have to disconnect some wires and a cable. Find a diy for the window guides. That should give you a good idea what is involved. Probably with some pictures too. Once you get the new switch youll see where it clips in. Then its just a matter of unliping it.
