Question DIY Power Steering

My sister's 2001 Audi A6 2.8L power steering is leaking. I just need anything that will tell me what to look for when I remove the lines. I know one is a high pressure line. Is there a DIY thread?

Also, one more question. She stated that this week the car alarm went off (manufacture alarm) while driving. I took it to AutoZone and had them run the computer to see if any codes went off, but no codes. Has this happened to anyone else?

to flush the power steering, just pull one of the lines that connects to the power steering cooler then turn the wheel from side to side until its empty. make sure you refill it with the proper fluid, the pentosin one.
