Default ecu removal question

Hey guys,

does anyone know how easy it is to remove the ecu from the black box in the front of the engine? can someone explain how this is done? I want to remove it so that i can ship it off to get the ECU upgraded.

Thanks in advance.

Open the battery cover by sliding off the rubber seal. Then you expose the ecu box on the driver side. They are held by several bolts. You need a small swivel adapter for the rear one. Ask some one with small hands... Then there is a metal clip. I don'r really remember how it is held, but it is not rocket science. Then you pull the plastic connector release. If it is the same is my 2.8, then there are two.

When I put the cover back on, I couldn't get the rear screw back on. I need small hands.
