Default Electric plug 2003 A6 Avant

I'm replacing the brake pads on my 2003 A6 Avant and I don't know how to unclip the electric plug on the inner brake pad and I don't care to break it. The first set of pads i ordered (local parts store) came in without the electric line so today I ordered two more sets with different numbers, if you have any info on this please let me know.

Thanks

the cable is a ware pad sensor and not given on many new pads ( therefore not required ) if you can retrieve the old wire then you could reuse it as long as its undamaged due to break pad ware

the ware pad sensor as they call it is just a probe so when it meets the rotor it wares out and turned the light on, important it is if your not saved with cars ( I personally do a visual check ) because I dont rely on those things that could fail due to corrosion plus the time limit they are supposed to work ish

I knew it was a sensor, but how do I unplug it as I'm going to try to find pads w/wire. I don't want to break that dsamn plug although it wouldn't be the first plug I've mangled

in most cases the wire will disintegrate but that's not a problem you just dont fit a new one which means the ware sensor wont work which is no big deal because your rear wheels dont have then to start with so the eye and the ear do better work, the sensor is a load of crap anyway because it sets the light of when the break dust fill the space

.I got the fitting off. by taking a small screw driver and prying the small U shaped peice outward away from the bracket, wiggle and pull plug. Remove the rest of the plug off metal bracket by prying the flat part of the plug away from holder as this will remove a small pin and twist the connection 90 degrees.

The sensors may be crap but I've found that it is best to keep a nice car as stock as possible for as long as possible.

Thanks
